Description:

**This course will be presented online as a live webinar in three 2-hour sessions. Sessions will be recorded and will be available to all enrolled attendees.**

All classes will be from 10 a.m.-noon Pacific (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mountain) (noon to 2 p.m. Central) and (1-3 p.m. Eastern).

This is a follow up to “Ecological Risk Assessment: Introduction”. NWETC recommends that anyone enrolling in the Advanced course also enroll in the Introductory course to ensure that all attendees have an understanding of the basics of an ERA.

During the advanced sessions, the specific technical and regulatory approaches to completing ecological risk assessments will be reviewed, with a focus on providing a hands-on understanding of an ERA, including the data collection aspects of the various lines of evidence used. Case studies of both aquatic and terrestrial settings will be examined, and active engagement with the attendees will reinforce the points presented.

After completing the course, attendees will have a deeper understanding of the details of planning and preparing for the completion of an ERA, including data development needs, selection of endpoints, and the development of lines of evidence.

Prerequisites:

NWETC recommends that anyone enrolling in the Advanced course also enroll in the Introductory course to ensure that all attendees have an understanding of the basics of an ERA.

Attendees will receive a .pdf file containing workshop proceedings and reference material. Further instructions will be provided after registration.

Intended Audience:

This advanced course is intended for those environmental professionals including, but not limited to, environmental consultants, environmental lawyers, governmental employees, and environmental students who will actually be completing an ecological risk assessment.

What to Bring

Billing Information

In order to guarantee a space in a course, the tuition must be paid in full TWO WEEKS before the first day of the course by either check or credit card. State and government agencies paying with a purchase order are allowed payment under the two-week time frame if a copy of the purchase order is received by NWETC.
